Sydney’s queen’s of noise are back after a 2 year absence to reek havoc on your eardums!
Fresh from playing a full house at The Metro in their home town of Sydney, supporting legendary rockers L7, the girls are making plans for a 2017 European tour which will include a slot on Rebellion Festival and this, their only London date.
From the smoldering ashes of Nitocris and the dark chasms of Bitchslap comes The Mis-Made. Originally formed in 2012 by singer/songwriter and lead guitarist, Jess Finlayson. Ms Finlayson reigns from Australian, all female, hard rock Sydney band Nitocris. Nitocris tore through Australia and achieved many milestones, which include filling the main stage of Big Day Out, supporting Deep Purple, The Cult, Suicidal Tendencies and causing chaos and havoc through the 90’s and 2000’s.
Finlayson/Coram are seen as a duo from hell, with a pounding rhythm section (Rexy Yasa on Bass and Nerida Wu on drums) behind them, The Mis-Made released their second EP – Maelstrom in early 2015 with an east tour of Australia in support of the E.P, followed by an international tour of the UK/Europe, in Sept/Oct 2015, which saw them play with some amazing international bands such as, Mother’s Cake, White Miles and Ann My Guard.
After recently touring Australia with the double A-side single release, recorded at Faust studios in Prague, The Mis-Made are now working on a full length album with the first single out in November just gone and with recently scoring the much coveted support spot for rock legends, L7 at The Metro in Sydney as well as a nomination at the 2016 Music Oz, Independent Music awards, 2016 ended with a bang!
With Special Guests:
Featuring guitar goddess Jax Chambers from Girlschool, Syteria formed in south Yorks in 2015 and have quickly built up a reputation as a fearsome and hard working band.
Having released their first single the same year the band dropped their debut EP “Wake Up” in the summer. Melodic and catchy, they will easily have you nodding your head and tapping your feet, will raise your spirits, and put a feel-good smile on your face for a long time!
Female fronted New wave punk grunge band, DIY and hungry. Parisian Lead singer Nina Courson met British guitarist Phil Honey-Jones in 2009 in the now defunct venue Punk in Soho, both of them were in separate bands at the time. It wasn’t long before ideas were bouncing around and they began to write songs together, the shared influences of the likes of Iggy Pop, Nirvana, Blondie, Killing Joke,Sonic Youth, Bauhaus and Bowie playing a big part in the direction of the music.
“If you like your rock’n’roll short, sharp and spiky, then Bristol grrrl rockers IDestroy might just be your favourite new band. They snap, they crackle, they pop, and they wear studded leather jackets with a feisty punk sneer.” – Classic Rock Magazine
“Their hard-hitting, charmingly feisty title track has secured them as one of this year’s coolest bands.” – Gigslutz. “Short, sharp slab of garage-rock glory” – Punktastic
Kate Pavli’s greatest asset is undoubtedly vocal power. Whether this can be put down to her childhood background in musical theatre, her Greco-Australian flare, or something entirely different, the fact is, very few leave a ‘Finding Kate’ show uncertain of this. And that’s a pretty good virtue when you are competing against hard hitting drums, heavy bass and distortion guitars (although there is plenty of softness in-between).
An improbable band with an equally improbable name and formed by the unconformity with contemporary pop music exhaustion, East joined West to play a fusion between grunge, punk, hard rock, metal, blues and anything else that is loud, noisy and comes from the heart.
This female-fronted three-piece joined instruments for the first time on a cold night in London, 2015. After several beers and some bourbon, they went to an industrial warehouse in Acton called Survival Studios willing to make ‘awesome music’.
An all grrrl band from London with fox fixations playing Glam Rock, Riot Grrrl, and Punk for the masses. All girls, all rock, all day, all night.
A female fronted 5-piece rock band hailing from Maidstone, Kent. Formed less than 12 months ago Weekend Recovery are proud to be part of the growing Kent rock scene.
Recently released EP “Rumours” draws influences from bands such as The Hives, Paramore and Green Day prompting the NME’s Mark Beaumont to described Weekend Recovery as ‘a unique voice in modern rock’.
Like a band of brothers with a sister, their filthy blend of punk and rock and roll has been disgusting and enthralling confused gig goers in equal measure. Formed in London from the ashes of The Slurps in the August of 2015 with the unique goal of having fun!!!
